So, you need some good Twilight costume ideas, huh? Well, I've done some research to offer you some of what I consider to be good costume ideas based on the Twilight movie and series.

Hooded Velvet (Black) Double Adult Cape

Of course, this is a little vague, and based upon a good stretch of the imagination, and entirely based on the vampirish-theme. But hopefully you'll bear with me and use your imagination also so that we can use this Twilight knowledge that we have and come up with some really neat costume ideas.

Hooded Velvet (Red) Double Adult Cape

Be lenient with me, because I know some of you will be looking for "exact" costumes from the movie Twilight, but that is hard to come by, and I will offer you inspiration here for your Halloween costumes or for any party or any Twilight party.

The easiest way to go for Twilight costume ideas would be with the Volturi clan. It is easy enough to don a long black or red cape with a hood on it and immediately be transformed into one of the vampire police--the Volturi.

OR--you could be a vampire. Even though in Twilight the vampires do not EVER look like this, we can use our imagination, like if they were in a ceremony or something. They are very elegant vampires in Twilight. Therefore they would need very elegant costumes. Here I've included something for the whole family...

Now--he is cool! I can just imagine the Cullens in something as suave and debonair as this costume. They are an elegant family, and I will suggest costumes that they all might wear together...

Sexy Twilight Costumes

Okay, so I've had several requests for sexy Twilight costumes, so we can use our imagination here... I've come up with some ideas (which I thought are good) that have inspired me in the Twilight movie, and I've interpreted them here...

There are, of course, several themes in the movie Twilight, and also some newer ones in New Moon. The Volturi come into play much more in the second movie, so Volturi-inspired capes in black and red will be a big hit this Halloween.

Baseball Player Adult Costume

And the Cullen baseball team. There are amazing sexy baseball costumes out there. Of course you can go all out here with sexy high heeled boots, etc. to really heat things up...

Pleated Penalizer Referee Adult Costume

Also, Jacob Black. We find out now that he can turn into a wolf, or a werewolf! So, lots of us will want to go that direction, using that as inspiration this Halloween.

OK, so I had to add the boots, because they are very sexy...

But, are they sexy? Well, the job here is to make them so. How to do that? Of course, we can go the sexy vampire route. That's an easy one. Any of the above ideas can be made sexy, especially with the right costume, the right smokey eye makeup and rich deep drippy red lipstick and black nail polish.

Twilight Wolves, Werewolves Costume

The Twilight Wolves/Werewolves costume ideas are so influenced by the Quileute tribe who are supposed to be descendants from the wolf. It's found out in the movie New Moon that these are not true werewolves, but are "shapeshifters", meaning that they can take the form of wolves.

Just like Jacob, from the Quileute Indian tribe. He eventually gained extreme strength and agility as he became more able to "shift" into the wolf mode. These werewolves to do not age, as long as they shift now and then into wolves.

Howl-O-Ween Adult Mask

This is the BEST wolf mask I could find. It is so wonderfully life-like that it's scarey! This mask comes complete with furry fur on it, so it looks extra real. It's great when you pair it with additional extras, which you can get here, too. The wolf hands and legs.

Moonshined Wolf Mask

OK, this one is a little scarey-feeling. It's really more like a werewolf than a wolf, but equally as scarey as the Howl-o-ween mask. This mask also comes with fur attached to the mask. Don't forget the wolf gloves (hands)!

Adult Wolf Shirt

This costume is new for Halloween 2009. This outfit is actually a hairy chest and arms with a shirt over it. You'll need to add the moonshined wolf mask (shown here) and the wolf hands to complete the ensemble, which will make the whole thing look like you're actually turning into a wolf.

Twilight Baseball Costume

Don't ya just love the Twilight baseball costume scene? It's one of my favorite. The vampires playing baseball. Who'd have thought? Especially when the vampire trackers come on the scene.

There's so much you can do with the Twilight baseball costume ideas in this movie. Every single character is wearing their own different version of a baseball costume. Like Rosalie--her costume is very, very sexy. Maybe only because she is wearing it...

It's all a vision of dark blue, light blue, white and navy blue stripes (horizontal and vertical), light pinstripes, heavy stripes, etc. You can be pretty much free to do your own thing.

Star Player Adult Costume

Hmmm--This looks like something Rosalie would wear. She would do anything that looks a little hot. Just to bother everyone else who's watching the game. This little outfit comes complete with a jersey crop top. Also capri baseball pants with red stitching, gloves, baseball hat and belt.

Volturi, Vulturi Twilight Costume

The Volturi Twilight costume is very much a ceremony costume. The Volturi are mainly around to police the vampire realm, and they are headquartered in Italy. The Volturi have been around for 3,000 years and are highly respected as royalty.

Volturi do a lot of ritual, so they are in costume a lot. Their main costuming would involve a cape. And quite often, a red cape. And quite often, it's hooded...

So here we are, offering many, many variations of the cape. In black, it's hooded, red, satiny, so many options.

Velvet Cape 56" (Black) Adult

Yes, I know. We haven't actually seen a vampire costume in the Twilight movie series yet. But--you never know, maybe we yet will... I think we are in for a whole lot of surprises around the corner. None that we would ever have planned on...

Edwardian Vampire Elite Collection Adult

BUT--we can use our imaginations to conjure up fantasies of what might be in the vampire world. Because, yes, that is the underlying theme. So let's use that to the best of our imagination!

What might a Twilight vampire costume look like? And who would wear it? Well, it seems like you can just feel a vampire costume oozing out of any of the Cullen family. I think most especially Esme and Carlisle. Carlisle--that's definitely a vampire name.

Gothic Vampira Elite Collection Adult Costume

So, using the parents of the Cullen family as a base, what would they wear? In perhaps some of their ceremonies or ritual or whatever... the sky is the limit here...

I think maybe something like the Edwardian Vampire Elite Collection Adult costume for Carlisle. He is so cool and so elegant, I can just see him in a black long waistcoat, a ruffled silvery-grey collar, an attached shoulder cape with a lined red satin bat collar. Very mysterious and oh so compelling...

Fang Bangin' Fun Vampire Adult Costume

The dressed-up version for Esme would be the Gothic Vampira Elite Collection Adult Costume. Esme is always so beautiful and gentle, that I could totally see her in this costume.

This is a formal ritual gown, long and flowing, red satin ruched inset panel down the front, complete with silver gothic buttons. The dress itself is black crushed panne velvet edged with lace bell sleeves. This costume comes with the jeweled velvet choker and a full lace petticoat.

Midnight Vampiress Adult Costume

Again, for Carlisle--something a little different this time. This one's also very elegant, as he is, but with a shorter iridescent cape with a stand-up collar, a button front red and black brocade vest. Complete with this costume is a satin long sleeve shirt and an attached cross pin.

I could also see you (or Esme) in the Midnight Vampiress Adult Costume. So elegant, so sexy, enough to seduce a bite out of any man. Beautiful black panne velvet skirt, lacey black bodice with lace-up detailing, sexy slit on the floor length skirt...

Okay, so I'm taking a lot of free license here to suggest Twilight costumes for you. These are creative suggestions, based on the movies that are out so far--Twilight and soon to be released New Moon. A lot of inspiration for these costumes comes from the different themes in the movie and book.

The costumes of the Volturi. The vampire theme. The Team Cullen baseball games. The werewolves! There will be a representation of them all here. The key is to have fun and to use your imagination.

Adult Wolf Shirt

I think the easiest place to start would be with the Volturi clan. They seem to have more costuming in their rituals, including lots of red caps, black capes--always with hoods. They are also able to turn into werewolves, so that is a good costume idea also.

The Volturis also have special characters, like Laurent, who has long dreadlocks and dresses dark/black gloves/red contacts. Very very dark...

Gothic Vampire Elite Collection Adult Costume

And actually, I'm not sure if it's a werewolf or a wolf. So being a wolf would also be a good suggestion. But he definitely has to be scarey and snarling. But--easy to do!

The other underlying theme to run with would be the idea of vampires. We haven't yet seen Edward and family in real vampire costumes, but I kind of like the idea of vampires and their history of vampire-like costumes.

Old Tyme Baseball Player Adult Costume

You could always stick with the grey peacoat clothing idea of Edward, but you might want to add the red or black contacts, sparkly pale skin, etc. Always stick to a little bit of the dark colorations of his clothing.

A big activity for the Cullen family is their baseball team -- Team Cullen. They all looked really cool and sexy in their individually-styled baseball outfits, so you have a lot of free rein here.

Hooded Velvet (Wine) Double Adult Cape

Just make it more fitted and like Rosalie--you can be very sexy in your interpretation of the baseball team thing. She's wild and sexy at the same time, so you have a lot of free rein there.
